Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Black Legacy Society™! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for engaging with our services, programs, and events. By utilizing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

General Provisions

  • Scope of Services: Black Legacy Society™ provides workshops, coaching programs, events, and memberships tailored to personal and professional development. Specific service details will be outlined in a mutually agreed-upon proposal or agreement.
  • Eligibility: Services are available to individuals, organizations, and institutions committed to professional growth, leadership, and cultural enrichment. Participants must adhere to all program guidelines and policies.

Payment Terms

  • Invoices: All invoices must be paid according to the terms specified within them. A deposit or retainer may be required to secure services.
  • Retainer Fees: For consulting, coaching, speaking engagements, workshops, and related professional services—whether delivered virtually or in person—a non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date and initiate the planning process. Fifty percent of the total cost is due upon booking to secure our services for the agreed-upon date. This retainer is non-refundable and will be applied toward the final balance.
  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via cash, credit card, or check. Late payments may incur additional fees.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Client-Initiated Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 30 days prior to the scheduled service date. Retainer fees are non-refundable. Any additional payments made may be eligible for a partial refund, determined by the extent of preparation and work already completed.
  • Black Legacy Society™-Initiated Cancellations: In the unlikely event that the Black Legacy Society™ must cancel a scheduled service, we will issue a full refund of any payments received or offer to reschedule at a mutually agreed-upon date.
  • Events, Digital Products, and Services: All sales of event tickets, virtual experiences, and digital products—including but not limited to eBooks, downloadable materials, online courses, templates, and recordings—are final and non-refundable. Fees for consulting, coaching, speaking engagements, workshops, and related professional services—whether delivered virtually or in person—require a non-refundable retainer to secure the date and initiate the planning process. This retainer confirms the booking and compensates for time spent preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and reserving availability. Once a service is accessed, delivered, or scheduled within the 30-day cancellation window, no refunds will be issued.
  • Apparel and Physical Products: All sales of apparel, accessories, and other physical merchandise are final. Refunds, returns, or exchanges are not permitted unless an item is received damaged or incorrect. In such cases, requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery with supporting documentation (e.g., photos), and replacements will be issued at our discretion.
  • Force Majeure: Neither party shall be held liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, health emergencies, government restrictions, labor disputes, and power or internet outages. In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule services or issue credits where appropriate.

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

  • Confidentiality: Any information shared during coaching sessions, workshops, or consulting engagements will be treated with strict confidentiality, unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • Intellectual Property: All content, materials, and resources provided during our services are the intellectual property of Black Legacy Society™ and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without express written permission.

Code of Conduct

  • Professional Behavior: All participants are expected to engage respectfully and professionally. Black Legacy Society™ reserves the right to remove any participant who violates program policies or disrupts others' experiences.
  • Non-Discrimination Policy: Black Legacy Society™ is committed to providing all participants with an inclusive and equitable environment.

Liability and Disclaimers

  • Limitation of Liability: Black Legacy Society™ is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
  • Disclaimer: While we strive to deliver transformative results, outcomes may vary based on individual effort and circumstances.
